Do the names of stations on the transport map agree with the station signboards? And does it matter if not?

Again, having undertaken the field research, my aim is to represent the system as accurately as possible. In this example the signboards on the back walls, above the platforms and also at the entrance to the station include the additional ‘secondary’ name and, in this case, a tourist attraction and historic reference.

With careful design it has been possible for me to add this secondary name to my map without making it messy. It also adds some more useful information to the user by including it and thereby making it ‘more accurate’ than the operator’s own map seen in fig.1
